A humanitarian crisis in Mayanmar and Solutions

A humanitarian crisis is unwrapped in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Myanmar’s Rakhine State violence has forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes. More than 400,000 Rohingya people have fled for their lives across the border into Bangladesh. As many as 15,000 people are entering the border into Bangladesh every day. Huge numbers of people are displaced in northern Rakhine State. The refugees absconding to Bangladesh have walked for miles on end. They have no money for food, shelter or medicine and other necessaries. The threat of disease and hunger is factual.
Fatimah had to walk 60 km to reach camps in Bangladesh. Fatimah made the journey while nine months pregnant, after her husband and father were killed in gunfire. The government's massive input into violences in Rakhine State that later spread to other parts of Burma with the lead of ex-prisoner monk Wirathu.

Six areas of Mandalay regions attacked, destroyed about 3,500 houses and several mosques and displaced about 15,000 Muslims and killing more than a hundred, including mass killing of 36 mostly teenagers in the small town of Meiktila on 20 Mar 2013.
Solutions of this crisis:
1. OIC and its leaders, ASEAN leader countries to continuously provide help on the ground in Arkan and rescue Rohingya boat-people from the sea.

2. United Nation agencies to work out its power in distribution of aid to displaced victims of Rohingyans and Kamans on the ground.

3. The int’l communties to keep an eye on the citizenship verification process in order to be free and fair unless United Nation to consent to put effective resolution onto Burma to ease the crisis as soon as possible end persecution against minorities.

4.Britain, France, United States and its allies countries to use veto power to take proper action on to Burma rulers and military generals who committed crime against humanity and genocide.

5. United Nation to protectorate the areas of where Rohingya and Kaman people living and install International Peace Keeping Forces on the ground and to emerge for establishment of an Independent State  within Arakan State.

6. UNCHR to open its registration for Rohingya refugee boat-people and identify them as refugee and include equal number in movement quota.

How Climate Change occurs and Ramification .

Ice melting, big chunks of glaciers will break off and become like ice cubes in a big glass of water. The icebergs create mass in the ocean. The icebergs dislodge the water causing the ocean level to rise. Some of the shoreline in many places like Bangladesh-where the land is at a low altitude- will go under water.
Rising global temperatures are expected to raise sea level, and change rainfall and other local climate conditions. Changing regional climate could alter forests, crop yields, and water supplies too. It could also affect human health, animals, and many types of ecosystem. Deserts may expand into existing rangelands, and features of some of our national parks may be permanently vanished.
The earth has had highs and lows, droughts and floods, but nothing has been like the past 150 years.    Global warming is affecting immensely on plants, animals, humans and the earth. We need to learn how to conserve our use of fossil fuels to decrease carbon dioxide production. This will slow down the effects of global warming
There are many possible factors that can cause the warming of the atmosphere, for example:
Natural deviation – the climate becomes warmer by internal dynamics of the earth-atmosphere system.
Solar motion – either direct increase of solar energy output or indirect mechanisms due to solar activity may cause the surface temperature to go up.
Greenhouse effect – increasing greenhouse gases such as CO2, CH4, NO, CFC
If the scenario run results show warmer surface condition than the control, then it is probable to suspect that the increasing CO2 concentration in the atmosphere may cause warming

When the climate becomes, the ocean may also become warmer in consequences.  A warmer ocean has lower solubility of CO2 and hence will release further CO2 into the atmosphere. As we have informed before, rising air expands and cools, causing clouds to form. The formation of clouds will building block out the sun and the solar heating of the ocean surface will cease. The surface will start to cool down. Thus the cloud formation due to surface heating and convection is a downbeat feedback to the climate system.

Coordinated Garments Sector in Bangladesh

Today, there is a lot of attention and awarenessin our world, but in most of the garment factories, working conditions are still minimum-standard. According to the ILO, in Bangladesh alone, 80 percent of export-oriented readymade garment factories need improvement in fire and electrical safety standards.
Managed Production can provide exactly in those cases like, training and advice to factory owners, employer’s organizations and government agencies .inspection and regulation on building safety and safety related issues such as environment, worker’s rights, sustain-ability and gender. In Bangladesh for Accord, ILO and the second tier factories that are not covered fully.
The building collapse in Dhaka recalls us all that ensuring that workers’ human rights are protected and respected within value chains involves a wide range of societal actors, including governments, employers, buyers and workers’ representatives.
The Rana Plaza disaster was a turning point in vulnerable state. Many improvements have been effectuated since happens.  Inspections have been carried out thoroughly and factories have been remediated.  But it is little far from ready; there still is much to be done.

Politicians and labour unions have joined hands with fashion companies and garment producers to improve working conditions and safety. In Bangladesh, the “Integrated National Tripartite Plan of Action on Fire Safety and Structural Integrity in the Ready-Made Garment Sector in Bangladesh” , the “Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh”  and the “Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety” were completed. At the global level, the G7 and the International Labour Organization ILO committed themselves to boost action in“labour rights, decent working conditions and environmental protection in worldwide supply chains”.

LEADERSHIP AND THE BACKDATED MINDSET

LEADERSHIP AND THE BACKDATED  MINDSET
Backdated-mindset leaders, like backdated-mindset people in general, live in a world where some people are superior and some are inferior. They must  affirm that they are superior, and the company is simply a platform for this. Leaders were typically concerned with their reputation for personal greatness—so much so that they often set the company up to fail when their regime ended. After all, what better testament to your own personal greatness than that the place falls apart after you leave. These leaders, the researchers saw a -gargantuan personal ego- that either hastened the tarnish of the company or kept it second-rate. Many of these comparison companies operated on what  calls a genius with a thousand helpers type. Instead of building an extraordinary management team like the good-to-great companies, they operated on the low-mindset premise that great geniuses do not need great teams. They just need little helpers to carry out their ideas. Don’t forget that great geniuses don’t want great teams members, either. Low-mindset people want to be the only big fish so that when they compare themselves to those around them, they can feel a cut above the rest. In not one autobiography of a low-mindset CEO did I read much about mentoring or employee development programs. In every high-mindset autobiography, there was deep concern with personnel development and extensive discussion of it.
Finally, the geniuses refused to look at their faults . The good-to-great Kroger grocery chain looked bravely at the danger signs in the 1970s—signs that the old-fashioned grocery store was becoming extinct. Meanwhile, its counterpart, A&P, once the largest retailing organization in the world, shut its eyes. For example, when A&P opened a new kind of store, a superstore, and it seemed to be more successful than the old kind of, they closed it down. It was not what they wanted to listen. In opposite, Kroger eliminated or changed every single store that did not fit the new superstore model and by the end of the 1990s it had become the number one grocery chain in the country.

Trade . Money And Banks- Writer- Moshiur Rahman

Trade, Money and Banks
Writer- Moshiur Rahman
In ancient times, people live in jungle, hunt and manage living. They do all activities in a group. There was no sense of self. With course of time, they learned to hunt individually and share the excess amount with fellows. After some days, they start to exchange things rather than just giving. As the concept gets matured, the existence of money comes to vision. To reduce spending and time, people begin to gather at the same place to execute thing exchanging activities known as trade. This is how civilization gets.
Seller- the person who intends to sell
Buyer - the person who wants to purchase
Market- The place where this exchange is executed
Product- The goods which have be exchanged
Price- The trade-off point between the buyer and seller
Demand- buyer need
Supply- making availability of the good by seller

With the course the time, the prime concept remains the same but the complexity and arena of trade. Gradually, its spreads from individual of countries, When execution of business involves distant places other important question arises. Mainly,

a. the security of payment to seller
b. the safe transit or transshipment of goods to buyer.
c. Who will carry the risk?

We can also here tell briefly about the role of bank. After the organization of money, the units in the society arises,
1. The surplus unit
2. The deficit unit
The surplus unit has still savings after satisfying all expenses. On the other hand, the deficit portion of the society looks out for somebody else for debt as its spending was more than the income. The surplus unit generally rents its extra amount of money to deficit unit with some cost known as income for the savers. But the process was absolutely cumbersome and inefficient as a sound matching of suitable debtor and creditors was tough and lengthy. To address this need, the perception of bank comes to horizon. Bank is the third party which will act as a safeguard of money of the surplus unit and make arrangement to lend the money to deficit unit in exchange for premium from bank will earn itself and give back greater amount to the saver as the reward for them.

Now the question is how banks get involved in trade. As the complexity and expansion of the cross border trade, the risk, fraud and mishandling of money also increase. It was also difficult for the buyers and sellers to monitor themselves these activities. Then banks come forward to take control. Since banks are everywhere, buyers and sellers start to approach their own bankers and authorize them to transfer fund and even take control of goods. Now a day, banks serve to
a. Transfer fund
b. Document handling
c. Undertaking risk
d. Control the goods
Thus, international trade is executed by only some clicks of computer keyboards within seconds, thanks to the wisdom of the human being who also pursue to be better and excellent.

In a legal system, it is supposed to flow all the legal money through banks. Banking channels are like blood veins and money like blood cells which flow through the veins. if anyway veins are disrupted, the whole flow system interrupts. Likewise , problem in baking system or channel must jeopardize the complete free movement of money , resulting in dire consequence for both the surplus and deficit unit of the society and halting of production , closing of industries, unemployment, famine, humanitarian crises which may take decades to get back to normalcy again. That is why a prominent saying is that    “banks are more dangerous than standing armies"

Every "Thank You" matters . Every 'Sorry' matters- writer- Rahman Moshiur

Every "Thank You" matters . Every 'Sorry' matters
writer- Rahman Moshiur

When we see foreigners coming to our country they frequently thank and say sorry to others. Especially we see this in case of Americans and Europeans. They also ask questions like " How are you" while they meet. Why are these for? Are those simple words or sentences or just they are representing a culture of appreciation, empathy and love behind the curtain?

Each thank matters. This simple word can make or change someones day . It may soothe somebody who is angry or can give hope to somebody who is stressed or depressed. Every single interaction involves some sort of taking and giving whether it is in the form of speaking or material exchange. For example , in class a teacher delivers and student listen; in a hospital a doctor serves a patient ; in a barbour shop , you go for having cut you hair ets etc . Can you count how many such exchanges are you involved? In your family, workplace, institutions, in markets or in any places? Are you aware of how many people are you in contact everyday? If all these dealings end with a  " thank|"  or a "sorry" ; it will surely affect mentality ,physique and after all the relations. Every single interaction which ends happily this way obviously will have a positive impact on your heart and brain.

Now lets think in a bigger aspect; what about a family, society and country. In a group of 10 people, say only one thanks and others not. Although it will be tough for the one to continue, he will have nothing to lose and as good things are contagious, others may start the same in a few days . Now think about the change in the interactions among the ten . Maybe, exchange of only a single word can end up any bad nothing in the future.

What about a stressed work environment where around 100  people are rushing to serve the customers. Every transaction for a customer requires the environment of many desks and hands before it gets properly executed. It is time that although everybody in a rush and in a hurry to get the work done as early as possible. At the same time a simple thank with a good service may  make the customer think to come next time and after completing all these dealings within a fixed period, employees do not feel tired rather they still feel covered at played a crucial role in rising their emotional intelligence up. They want to work more. They love their workplace more. They become more loyal. The most interesting fact is that all these are happening without spending a single penny by the company. In a thankful situation like this , there will be fewer misunderstanding among the staff, resulting in a happy HR Team

Sherlock Homes S-4 E-1
